Important Primary vote June 28th

Tuesday June 28th is Primary day for Congressional candidates. Several Democratic candidates are vying for Steve Israel’s seat in the Third Congressional District. NYSUT does not endorse candidates for open seats. Steve Israel has endorsed Steve Stern, currently Suffolk Council member as his replacement.

In the First Congressional District, NYSUT has not endorsed the  current office holder Lee Zeldin because of his negative voting record on issues of concern to seniors.

June 28th is an odd date for an election, but I urge you to remember it and make an effort to get to the polls.  Who you vote for is your decision. Exercising your right to vote is the import thing.
