Sad News …

Gary Nagel, long time Northport High School teacher, passed away on January 18 surrounded by his family. Gary taught both math and business courses, coordinated the work-study program and was the yearbook advisor for many years. In retirement Gary spent his time golfing and visiting family in Michigan and Las Vegas. He is survived by his sons Jeffery and Allan, and five grandsons.

A funeral mass will be said on Wednesday, January 23 at Saints Philip and James Roman Catholic Church in St. James. Internment will follow on Saturday, January 26 in Troy, Michigan.

The family suggests donations in Gary’s memory to EPIC Long Island, 1500 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554 – www.epicli.org.

On the evening of December 30, 2018 Kathey Stachecki, the wife retired Northport teacher Peter Stachecki,  passed away peacefully
after a very long illness.

Friends and relatives will gather at the Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, in Northport on Friday January 4th from 2-5 pm and from 7- 9 pm.
Those who wish to share memories may wish to do so at a special session beginning at 8 pm .

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice Tenenbaum last Saturday in Manhattan. Daughter Judy is holding a brunch/shiva at her home at 110 West 86th Street, apt. 6A, in NYC on Sunday, November 10 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Evelyn Tenenbaum, 32 Dykeman Rd., Delmar NY 12054.

Memorial Service

Joe Zarro, husband of Shelly Zarro, who passed away on September 4, wanted to invite Shelly’s friends to a memorial service at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Saw Mill River Road and Jackson Avenue, Hastings-On-Hudson at 11:00 a.m. on November 10th.
