A memorial service will be held for Madeline Porter on June 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Smithtown. A Reception to follow the service.

Madeline Porter, former Northport Middle School teacher and a beloved friend to many, passed away on Monday, May 18, after a long illness. A memorial service will be held at St Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Smithtown at a later date. Details will be posted as they become available.

Maureen Guttman — We regret to relate that Maureen Guttman passed away Thursday, May 7th.
She will be waked at Bruggerman’s on Monday from  2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Service at St. Anthony’s Tuesday at 9:45 am. Donations in her memory can be sent to the American Heart Association or to the Retired Teachers of Northport,  scholarship fund (make check payable to RUTN,  write scholarship fund on the memo line,  mail to David Hosie, 19 Jay Court, Northport NY 11768).

Alfia Livaccari’s  husband Dominick — We are sad to announce the passing of Alfia Livaccari’s  husband Dominick – Alfia was a  substitute teacher in East Northport Middle School in the 1980’s and was an active PTA member.  The wake will be at Bruggermann’s on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Service at St. Anthony’s on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m.

Erik Parma, son of R-UTN member Nils Parma died suddenly on March 3, 2015.
