R-UTN member Pamela Waldroup is exhibiting her photography at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum from June 5th – 28th, with an Artist Reception on Sunday, June 8. The original announcement showed the wrong ending date for the exhibit. Pam would love to to see Northport colleagues at the reception.

Marilyn Hagler retired Ocean Avenue Elementary School teacher, passed away on February 5, two months shy of her 89th birthday. She was pre-deceased by her husband and fellow teacher, Harold Hagler.
Marilyn was married to Howard for 60 years, and together they dedicated their careers to the Northport-East Northport District, leaving lasting impacts on both students and colleagues. Marilyn remained active in retirement, living in Florida and regularly playing 18 holes of golf until becoming ill last September .
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Debbi and Lauren; her sons-in-law, John Hunter and Joe Brancaleone; and her grandchildren, Melissa and Ryan. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Celeste, and Indie, who she was blessed to know and cherish during her lifetime. Marilyn’s life was marked by warmth, devotion, and grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Solo Photography Exhibition
Pamela Waldroup, retired Northport High School Art Teacher, will be exhibiting a collection of her Fine Art Photographs in the Annex Gallery at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in June. The gallery consists of 3 rooms and a wonderful adjoining hall. Pam would love to see some former colleagues and old friends at the Reception on Sunday, June 8th!

Charles Aparo, husband of Kay, retired Norwood Avenue Teacher/ Curriculum Coordinator passed away on Aprill 11, 2025 at the age 77.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, May 14th at 4 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook, 380 Nichols Road, East Setauket. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s honor can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
