The Long Island Museum Seeking Volunteers

Are you interested in learning how to crochet for a major community-focused exhibition at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook? Hooked@LIM, The Crocheted Tree Project aims to support traveling artist Carol Hummel in wrapping trees on museum grounds with crocheted pieces made by volunteers. The project will begin with a three-day workshop from January 17 – 1 9 on crocheting with the artist.

Volunteers interested in participating in the Hooked@LIMproject should contact Christine Marzano at (631) 751-0066 x281 or [email protected]. Crocheting experience is not necessary and workshops are free. All materials will be provided for the project. Additional information is available on the museum’s website

An Invitation to the BareBones Theater Company Alumni Showcase

R–UTN member Charlotte Koons invites you to the Bare Bones Theater Company Fall Showcase, to be presented on December 19 in the Northport High School Little Theater. Bare Bones is a local, non-profit acting company that Charlotte has been with for almost 15 years. As part of the evening’s entertainment, Charlotte will be preforming excerpts from Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood.
