NYSUT is organizing to participate in the Women’s March on Washington, D.C. — a national grassroots event being held January 21, 2017, the day after the presidential inauguration.

Women’s rights are bedrock to who we are!  We embraced the opportunity to participate after confirming that the coalition of grassroots organizers had secured permits for the event. Arrangements are still fluid, so for updates keep checking www.nysut.org/march.

NYSUT is in the process of arranging for coach buses to leave from the Suffolk Regional Office with a pick–up stop at the Nassau Regional Office.

Web-based registration is being handled through NYSUT’s Meetings and Facilities Department. To ensure no seats go unfilled, there will be a $75 deposit required with the registration that will be refunded 100 percent after the event to participants who complete the trip.

Refreshments will be provided on the buses.
