Unfortunately, the Cape May Trip for October 13-14 had to be canceled
because there was not enough response. A day trip to the 9-11 Memorial is
being planned. Watch this space for further information!
Northport ArtWalk on Sunday
Next Sunday is the annual ArtWalk in Northport Village. Over twenty artists, including R-UTN member Linda Quinn, will be displaying their work in stores around the village. Maps of artist locations will be available at Copenhagen Bakery.
Volunteering at the Vanderbilt
Bill and Gloria Hall want to thank everyone who attended the R-UTN Annual Picnic on the grounds of the Vanderbilt Museum on September 9. They are active volunteers at the Museum, and Gloria is responsible for the beautiful garden that surround the catering tent. Bill and Gloria suggest that R-UTN members interested in helping in the gardens, becoming docents, greeters or volunteers at the Vanderbilt should contact them and they can facilitate the process becoming part of the Vanderbilt.
The beginning of another school year …
The membership of the Retired – United Teachers of Northport marked the beginning of another school year with the Annual Picnic.
For the first time the picnic was held on the grounds of the beautiful Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport. The weather was perfect, the location was beautiful, the food was delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time catching up with friends and former colleagues. A special thanks to Bill and Gloria Hall for making the arrangements for the picnic at the Vanderbilt. Photos of the picnic are posted in the the R-UTN Picture Gallery
