Don Sherman, East Northport Middle School Music Teacher and Northport Community Band Director, invites R-UTN members to two musical events.

The 26th Annual Northport Music Department Scholarship Benefit Faculty Recital will be presented this Friday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert W. Krueger Center for the Performing Arts at Northport High School.  As always, an intriguing and eclectic lineup, with great performances of music by Vivaldi, Verdi, Claude Bolling and many others, performed by prodigiously talented singers and instrumentalists including Hornucopia, the Long Island Tuba Quartet, grownups wielding recorders and ukuleles, and a finale by our own Northport Community Jazz Orchestra.

Suggested $5.00 donations will be accepted at the door; proceeds benefit the Garland Butts, Jim Cassara, Dora Clarke, Michael Kauffman, Bob and Marge Krueger, and Bob Padgett Scholarship Funds.
